Q : Can Muslims say different prayer than the normal routine one? Click to view answer
A :
The daily prayer of Muslims has to be performed five times a day in a set form which has been taught to them based on the prophetic traditions. But apart from that, Muslims can pray and supplicate whenever they feel like it and in their own language. This is called Dua, which is highly recommended in the religion of Islam. Q :
Does a hijab directly translate as a headscarf or does it refer to modesty in dress in general?
A :
Headscarf is probably the first impression you might get when you hear the word Hijab. But in fact, covering is only one aspect and Hijab is not restricted to it. [See :Hijab: the Real Meaning] By introducing Hijab, Islam aims to set out a framework on how we dress, how we look and how we interact in the society and so requires both women and men to dress simply, modestly and with dignity.

Q : Is a woman who does not wear hijab not a Muslim? Click to view answer
A :
A Muslim woman who does not wear Hijab is a Muslim, but not a practicing one. So, having faith in the only One God, the Prophethood, Afterlife and the other Islamic axioms, See: [The Islamic Axioms | Salam Islam] makes one a Muslim even though they are ignorant of some Islamic principles.
