Q :
If a man converts to Islam, can he marry a Muslim even if he is married to a Christian?
A :
As per the common belief Muslim men can marry up to four women simultaneously. But Islam allows this under certain difficult conditions and as a remedy to a social problem: (when marriageable women in a society outnumber the men fit to be married). What’s more, the holy Quran explicitly advises no more than one wife:

"But if you fear that you may not treat them fairly, then [marry only] one" (4:3)

As a matter of fact, those men who can observe full justice with a number of wives are very few. It is clearly stated in the following verse of the Quran which is in association with the previous verse:

"you will not be able to be fair between wives, even if you are eager to do so..." (4:129)

Q : Is Halal meat inhumane? Click to view answer
A :
No, it is not. As Islamic slaughtering is taken from the Quran and Prophet’s (PBUH) conduct, it is known to be the best way of killing an animal in which it feels the least pain. Also there are many scientific reasons behind this method of slaughter. See: http://salamislam.com/content/what-halal-slaughter-and-it-humane/4

Besides, lots of conditions have been suggested when slaughtering an animal to make it suffer less:

For instance, It is recommended to water the animal before the slaughter and do the slaughter job in a way that the animal feels the minimum pain and distress (e.g. the knife has to be sharp enough). And it is detestable to slaughter the animal in a place where other animals can see. It is also detestable to slaughter that animal that one has brought up and has emotional connection to it.

A :
The first and most important step is to get familiar with the holy Quran. You can read the translation as well as the interpretation. Do not be so fussy about it. Allah will talk to you through this holy book Himself. just try to read deeply and constantly. Allah will show you the right path.

Q : Is Islam opposed to women's sports? Click to view answer
A :
Islam is not opposed to women’s sports as long as it does not contradict the laws of their faith e.g. their dress norms (Hijab). Muslim women have been successful in several sporting venues including the Olympics’. (please also find these: Ibtihaj Muhammad, An Iranian Woman Just Won An Olympic Medal For The First Time) However, in some Islamic countries, women are deprived of their true right of doing sports. In fact, it is not Islam that forbids women from being engaged in sports; rather it is the country’s culture or the government that does not let women appear in public activities of this sort. Neither the Quran, nor prophets sayings prescribe women’s exclusion from public life. Islam is the faith of reason, sensibility, spirituality and moderation. It has taken all aspects of human’s life into consideration and believes in the oneness of humanity.
